Ver descrição

Domesticated Nights proposes reflections on video surveillance in contemporary times. Made with surveillance camera records from twenty-three countries, the video is about the desire to see, to control, to inhibit, to try to tame the natural chaos of the world. The work was developed as one of the video proposals of the Master in Film and Video Arts at the State University of Paraná in 2020. The research, as well as the video, addresses the construction of a creative process that investigates appropriation, the poor image, the error, the glitch, and the operation and consumption of surveillance cameras. Domesticated Nights had its premiere at the 4th Metrô - Brazilian University Film Festival, where it received an extra jury award.
