Born in São José dos Campos-SP, Jaruam Xavier graduated in dance in the city and then joined the Ballet of Teatro Guaíra-PR at the age of 20. He then followed his career as a dancer, professor and choreographer dancing at the Ballet of the City of São Paulo and at the Opera Royal de Wallonie in Belgium. He currently runs Set7 Owls, an experimental dance company that seeks new artistic languages and a fluid communication with the contemporary world.
