Anais-karenin is an artist and researcher pursuing a PhD in Visual Poetics at São Paulo University and enrolled as a Visiting Researcher at Waseda University (JP). Her work discusses the relationship between natural and artificial, with special interest in animist perspectives and non-hegemonic cultural and mythological epistemologies, working especially with bio-art, installations, video and sound. She has participated in residencies and exhibitions in Brazil and Japan, in institutions such as Paço das Artes Rio de Janeiro, Oi Futuro, Goethe Institute Tokyo, Kunstverein Göttingen (DE), Floating University (DE), and others.
