Koen van Santvoort [NL, *1993], uses perception and how it can be changed as his leading theme in his visual works. Nowadays he researches how men can approach digital properties in an analogue way. Coming from a traditional background of painting, he explores the use of technology and its influences on how traditional mediums can be seen. By using a range of 3D software, he explores his surroundings in a new way. The outcome of this process results in layers and limitations that question reality, craftmanship and technologies. By doing so, the viewer’s perception becomes unreliable, which is one of the focus points in his work.
