Marcel Darienzo holds a master's degree from Goldsmiths and is a PhD candidate at the Freie Universität with the thesis "Simulation-source system: building immersive realities". Thinking about the structures that condition life to a sense of imprisonment, he seeks to explore the intersections between the performing, visual, and sound arts. In his "simulations", proposals that aim to insert the audience in other space-time conditions, he seeks to sensitively reveal the relationships between physical and digital, animate and inanimate, subject, object and system. He has collaborated with institutions such as ICA, Tenderpixel, Assembly Point, Tate Modern, Manifesta 11, Pivo Arte e Pesquisa.
