Visual artist with an emphasis on documentary production, in the areas of photography, video and installation. He has a degree in Journalism from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul (PUCRS) (2003), a postgraduate degree in Photography from Fundação Armando Álvares Penteado (FAAP) (2012) and a Master in Visual Poetics and a PhD candidate at the Institute of Arts at UFGRS. He participated in an artist residency at FABRICA, Benetton's research center in communication and arts, in Treviso, Italy (2005). Participated in an artist residency at MIS, Museu da Imagem e do Som, in São Paulo (2013-2014). Worked as a photo reporter for the newspaper Folha de S. Paulo (2006-2009).
