Bryne Rasmussen
Bryne Rasmussen-Smith (b. 1983) is an artist from Chicago currently living in Los Angeles. She received her MFA from the California Institute of the Arts. Bryne produces collaborative work as House of Style and is also part of neverhitsend, a collective performatively researching communications ideology. neverhitsend has just released Toggle, a new online exhibition platform, in partnership with 221A Gallery at the 21st International Symposium on Electronic Art 2015 in Vancouver, B.C. Her work has recently been exhibited as part of Enhanced Vision, ACM Siggraph; Cash Machine at FatherSons, Los Angeles; 20/92, curated by Alex Da Corte, Icebox Project Space, Crane Arts, Philadelphia, PA; SCRN TNSN, Northwest Film Forum, Seattle, WA; Post Private, Monte Vista Projects, Los Angeles; neverhitsend, 356 Mission, Los Angeles; Futures Project, Centre for the Living Arts, Mobile, AL; and for On The Road, On The Road Project, Temple @ Alameda, Los Angeles. Work has also been screened at the Situation Room, Los Angeles; at FLEX fest, Gainseville, FL; the Dallas Medianale, McKinney Avenue Contemporary, Dallas, TX; on KCHUNG TV, Experimental Half-Hour as part of Made in LA at the Hammer Museum, Los Angeles; and during Tele Visions at the Performance Space, Sydney, Australia.
