Daniel Voicu
Daniel Voicu started creating glitch art to explore the meaning of error, of the unexpected, and how common images and concepts are affected by interferences from outer factors. Although he has no academic background in the art field, for the last few years his interest for new media arts – and especially glitch art – has grown, allowing him to experiment current methods of creation and building his own technique. His works question the appearance of an image in the context of contemporary visual culture in which images, representations and ideas normally function. By applying abstraction and invoking errors, he allows the viewer to enter into a world of semi-controlled chaos. Deconstructing existing worlds allows hidden worlds to surface. Daniel Voicu currently lives and works in Bucharest, Romania. Some of his works can be seen on glitcherinne.tumblr.com.
