Born in 1984, Brazilian, lives and works in Goiânia. Luciano Drehmer is a visual artist who uses the internet and social networks as a canvas. His work is based on image appropriations of the public imaginary, changing its shape, corrupting its original sense and putting them in the limit of recognizable giving a new meaning through narrative restructuration and breaking boundaries/connections without logical sense. The initial purpose of his work was to put intellectual property laws on discussion, engage the largest possible number of people and lead them to share images as a meme. These goals have been achieved, reaching almost 2 million people, featured among the major media outlets and receiving invitations of lectures to discuss intellectual property protection at law universities.
