Jacob Leary (1981) is a Hobart based artist. His practice spans a range of mediums including painting, printmaking, sculpture and installation. In 2012 Jacob completed a Masters of Fine Arts at the Hobart School of Art, creating a multimedia installation exploring the exponential growth of technology in contemporary culture. He has won numerous awards for his work, including the John Fries Memorial Prize, a national award for emerging visual artists, in 2012. In 2013 Jacob was the recipient of an Australia Council grant for emerging artists.
