Born in 1991 in Belo Horizonte (MG), Daniel Bretas has a bachelor's degree in Cinema and Audiovisual. He works in the illustration, design, comics, animation, and audiovisual markets and teaches drawing classes at Black Ink Studio. As a photographer and visual artist, he has participated in, developed, and produced collective exhibitions of photography and video art. He is currently adapting his original comic book Shut Up and Listen into a short film and dedicating himself extensively to photography and performance. He seeks in his research and in his work to merge the inconsistent virtuality of truth with the translucency of material reality.
