Mari Amman
Mari Amman is an international artist. Her interest in resonances and the sublime, creates reverence for beauty. The perspective of geological empathy has grown increasingly significant in her work during our technocratic times. She seeks to engage the parietal aspects of perspective to invite viewers’ to consider relationships with notions of nature and the sacred, the land and body. The Asia Culture Center in Gwangju recognized the monolithic image and text, Omniscient in the Imaging New Eurasia Exhibition, shortly before undertaking artistic residencies to study deeper aspects of the psyche and somatic in Oslo, Trélex, Kjerringøy, and Paris. Her work is held in private and public collections.
