Mariana Destro is a visual artist, designer and independent curator graduated in Visual Arts at the University of Brasília (UnB). Since 2015, she has participated in group and solo exhibitions in cities like Curitiba, Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo and Brasília. Her artistic production is guided by notions of gender, decoloniality, eroticism, body and self-representation in contemporary times. Through a multimedia practice, she proposes provocations about the nature of the production of images of women in capitalist society, circumscribed to the contemporary visibility regime. She works with appropriation, hypermedia, video, installation and curatorship.
