Strawberry from the northeast is a project in collage, intervention, and digital appropriation, it arises from the memory of an encounter with a photo-painted image of the artist's paternal grandparents, in 2008. Until then Paula had never seen her paternal grandparents and only had access to the image through an uncle, who questioned her trying to restore the image. Recently the artist returns to this memory/encounter in an attempt to think about the relationship with the process of revitalization and construction of memories through images. The artist searches for anonymous photo paintings on the internet and incorporates through image editing a conceptual movement close to that of generative images, mixing eyes, mouths, noses, and producing other beings and other repertoires in the photo painting.
