Gianlluca Carneiro (25) was born in the historic city of Mariana, in Minas Gerais, and has been painting since he was six years old. However, the digital experience is recent, started in 2021. The creative base is figurative, through the creation of personas and supported by colors and what they convey. His works address two main issues: social/structural problematics and the influence of the human psyche; seeking the universalization of feeling starting from individual analysis. This groundbreaking art is a dialogue about the prison of the mind, as the name implies. The hegemony of rational action sometimes relegates passion to the primitive and demonstrates the fallacy of freedom through pure, utopian rationality.
