This work aims to question the limits of memory and materiality. Through the transformation of the light frequency of a photo into sound frequency, the artist Tibor Raposo presents us with a new interpretation of digital images (data). Inspired by expanded photography and visual art that appropriate several different media, the artist puts us in a state of reflection and contemplation during the video. The use of glitch art during video reinforces the raw cutting of data in favor of a “hyper image”, an image that speaks for itself, a unique image that has its own voice and conversations directly with its viewer.
