The work “Brazilian Virus - 02” is an animated gif made from a digital painting, where the artist, appropriates the national flag and inserts on it graphic elements that simulate the molecular structure of coronavirus. The work is part of the series “Bandeiras do Brasil”. The artist reformulates the pennant from the pandemic context exposing how the government, as well as the citizens, have led this problem. It criticizes the anti-scientific and religious values that have aggravated the country's political problems and strengthen the growth of groups that claim the “right to death”.
