Michella's practice explores the language that arises out of studying the wave- particle behaviour of light. The artwork aims to visualise astro/biophysical processes and conceptualises how energy circulates. Synchro phase employs audio-visual effects, sculptural processes and multi media formats to model transformative cycles that occur in nature. The room or digital field is not a static structure but rather a stimulating form that generates evolving effects and determines modes of perception. Dynamic phase cycles between sound, object and plane instigate a re-evaluation of the observers sensory envelope. This attains a harmonic unity between our dominant sensory faculties.
