Ver descrição

Shuffle exercises is an audiovisual installation that loops every 12:30 minutes. It is a composition of three units of sound sculptures and two videos. The narration begins with a drums tutorial and the repetition processes of a musician practicing, parallel with motors and mechanisms. Electronic systems communicate with each other through self generated patterns and shifting loops, appearing as human performers. It implements various technics of audio and video synthesis to provoke questions on the musicality and organic nature of the Mechanical and Digital. It examines our sense of time using drums as punctuation marks on the conventional musical time system to mention the counting of time, as an esoteric process and state of mind.
