remnants and the same sky is a chromatic sequence performed from the screenshot of skies shared by different people via Instagram Stories in a single day (from here we see falling the sun). Part of a set of works called “the measure of the world”, where small animations are created from the movement of light/color in one or more images of the same scene. It explores GIF as a format for a digital pictorial surface, highlighting characteristics of this medium. Contemplation and delight traditionally attributed to painting are resignified amid the usual use of digital communication tools and the consumption/deviation of attention in social media.
