Artificial It is a collection of textual pieces created using neural networks. The process of creation was circular in nature: after having gathered a corpus of personal texts – numerous and scattered attempts made during the years preceding the discovery of AI – it was possible to train neural networks on these and and create artificial entities mimicking the style of the source texts and producing a new, distorted discourse that is both very similar and yet very estranged from the original. The neural texts are then treated as if they had been written by hand, adopted as ‘authentic’ drafts, and subjected to further human revisions and editing, deepening the merging of human/nonhuman crafts.
