The aphtic zone is the part of the ocean where there is little or no sunlight. While most of the ocean's biomass lives in the photic zone, most of the ocean's water lies in the aphotic zone. Bioluminescence is more abundant than sunlight in this area and was thinking about these beings and their adaptations, the bioluminescence in this region and how they survive from the remains of the areas above that I created this series.
