Using ray.sniff~(a max external object that converts web data to signal data) Giorgio creates a couple of Max MSP Jitter patches that allow him to visualize the continually morphing flow of network data on a video matrix. Seeking to link the seemingly disparate phenomena of sight, movement, noise and sound, these data sonification experiments attempt to integrate and conjugate sound within visual imagery and choreographic structures, and to explore methods and devices which can translate sound and movement into an audio-visual presentation, while revealing unintentional beauty in hidden technological data paths.
