In Tropical Meridional Fiction, Brazil as we know it and its inhabitants were objects of sale and exchange, and what remains are a large wasteland of 8,516 million km² in length. The elements that once constituted it as a nation serve as a totem for this territorial representation.The work is constructed as a web installation, consisting of 3D objects, animated 3D characters and a 4m48s video. Thought as a dystopian scenario of this future, stereotyped elements of a Brazilian reality function as a scenography of this possible reality. Tropical Meridional Fiction worked as an initial work for the Tropical Meridional Fiction exhibition, which debuted in March 2021 on the online platform New Art City.
