"Music for Data Packets" was born from the 2020 pandemic and quarantine, when Zoom meetings became the only mode of contact. This artwork uses a Zoom call with a special mic configuration to create an (ideally) infinite reverb and echo. Ever person in the meeting points their mic to the speaker, while me and two other artists play music. This creates a sound that can only happen through this meeting, and that is different and irrepetible for every person. The sound is also filtered and degraded, being emitted and received by every person constantly. It is the sound of data packets travelling through the internet. It was an attempt to subvert what a zoom call could be, getting away from the camera and making it a concert hall.
