The physical public space has a series of restrictions, that limit the full possibility of citizens to participate and decide about cultural heritage. On the contrary, the virtual space enjoys greater freedom in regarding making these decisions. Virtuality then becomes a place of political and social enunciation, of memory creation that not only allows but also encourages the participation of citizens. La paz pendiente is a virtual space and a visual database that allows us to remember the victims that Colombia’s war has taken since the signing of the peace process in 2016. This work is a documentation of the Colombian social reality and is a place of commemoration to the lives of social leaders that have been killed defending our rights.
