Ver descrição

The work RENT (interlude) was produced in 2019 by visual artists Daniel Higa and Marcelo Amaral, the audiovisual accompanies an original soundtrack composed of samples and instruments recorded by the artists themselves. The video seeks to explore visual references of popular dvd films through the filter of television by means of an overlapping recording, where focal cuts and the manipulation of the video by the dvd player interface seeks to dialogue with the soundtrack that explores an atmosphere geared towards digital media. Like Jean-Claude Carriere in his text "The Secret Language of Cinema" we question ourselves about the "endless tapestry of images developing before our eyes" day after day.
