Ver descrição

Digital Fossils is a series of sculptures that were created by processing hundreds of images from science fiction movies. The shapes of the objects are self-generated by a process that extracts information from a database fed by these images, generating models that are 3D printed. The artist sought to bring to the physical world forms resulting from the accumulation of hundreds of images. For this, she developed a creation program that synthesizes visual information and allows the emergence of infinite forms. The artist uses digital culture to discuss materiality and form in an immaterial culture, reflecting how the observation of digital files can resignify materiality.
