This video is a generative result of involving in video transformation. This result gave problems of the ability to reproduce it by simplifying and complexifying it at the same time. Because of this the scene is exhausting itself while playing and the character is wondering through the abstraction in white geometrized space of the video. Video work theoretically relates to the post-production principles of the Digital art-world. This piece is questioning the potential usage of this kind of video editing of materials and segments of and in films. It is a kind of appropriation, the source video that has been used was Carax’s dadaistic video spot. Hymn to Merde is a generative result of involving in video transformation. This result gave problems of the ability to reproduce it, by simplifying and complexifying it at the same time. Because of this inter-changeable factor, the scene is constantly exhausting and refreshing itself while playing. The character figure is articulating a body language, wondering through the abstraction of white geometrized space. This space was an underground canalization-cave and it is transformed into a space of the video.Work theoretically relates to the post-production principles of the digital art world. Accordingly, the piece is questioning potentiality of exploiting a kind of deep-editing experiments and the ways of applying them as a new form of visual effect. It is also related to appropriation, namely the source video that has been used was Carax’s low-res dadaistic version. The gesture of intervention came from the idea of a video that becomes itself a space of emptied and emptying content, leaving it as anonymous echo, an everlasting vibration of the changeable formations.Main focus for this version of video processing was to develop a system of almost analog inter-usage of software variety. I used the source low resolution video as a starting point for deeper enhancing. That led me through loop of different simple interventions and reductions of the source material. By constantychanging parameters of the basic video field, and making changes on the interline movements. Filtering it back and forth, I realized that the production process of the change from low to hi resolution is very unpredictable and capable to generate by itself the video field, and all that by means of trying not to know the doings with software. And the development of this video is in permanent “work in progress” status. (The sound and image in the raw edited file are highly enhanced through editing and post-production processes).
