Nicolas Lamas’ work comes from an interest and mistrust in constructed perceptions, which are said to belong to a “natural order” from which knowledge is utilized to build imaginary concepts. He searches for the cracks that are generated in specific relations that exist between the representation of systems that we perceive as reliable and even accept as an undisputable reality. In order to exemplify the inconsistencies that he feels, the artist carefully manipulates images, sounds and other elements that are associated with the construction and transmission of information. Through this he attempts to somehow put into evidence the relativity, malleability and the level of indetermination in all of which we attempt to comprehend by linking ourselves to something through our rationality.
