Video, for computer screen/flat monitor, 8.48 minutes Bike trip from Amsterdam to the island of Ameland, through the ex-island of Shockland and the ex-island of Urk. Before to depart for this trip I studied the road on Google Maps that actually gave me a quite precise preview of what I will have found on my way. The Netherlands have been designed so well, geographically and architectonically (1/6 of its land is artificial) that the view from above of Google Maps becomes real as much as the experience of being in the place. The feeling becomes the one of being in a "live-size rendering".
