Anna and the Horse is a wistful reimagining of the material of memory. Drawing from organic, living bodies shaped and retained through past experience, as well as sensations of light, dark, and emotion held captive within memories; light emerges as the embodied and functional memory of space. Can light feel? Can light hear? What of fictional light - fictional dark, fictional form - the virtual? Transferring between mediums remains one way to isolate and break down complex emotions. Combining 3d art with painting, my practice is composed of both simultaneously; this artwork was born as a result of that process.
