Blu Simon Wasem took a journey around the world in search of sound, flavors and colors, but at one point, he decided to be silent. At the Open Space Bea residency in Busan, Korea, Blu made his performance Persuit of Nothingness, which featured website spefic, action art, paintings and a series of ".gif" files, placed on a computer in the collective exhibition hall. Most of these files were lost, but in a virtual folder, two files remained: NAD and Hol(i/e/y)days. These two objects were minted in hic et nunc, and have 300 copies, for sale to collectors. The two "gif performances" are self-portraits, where the artist dresses as a monk, seeking non-action.
