"this photo I was seventeen years old...", says Pedro Ferreira, born in Lagoa do Mato, on the banks of Piché River 116. a great river of oil stretching from north to south of Brazil, knocking down houses, taking and bringing lives in the tires of trucks, in the middle of this great crossing the Lagoa do Mato, farm district of Brejo Santo - Kariri, CE. Riverside dwellers of BR 116 on the road that at each cross counts the lives that were taken by the tires, and those that were left behind by the great curves; a region of healing in the belief of São João Batista. Collage with digital capture of the São Francisco River composed with analogical photography from the 60's, as a cure for the Trapiá, a plant that keeps water on the edge of a dead river, a bridge of prayer, deaths and lives.
