The work Studies about fungi & mountains is an unfolding of my master's research in Visual Poetics (PPGAV/UFRGS). The project seeks to experiment with a photographic language with fungi as co-creators, through their propagation on printed photographs. With their characteristics of decomposing and transforming matter, the members of the Fungi Kingdom act as organisms of interaction between life and death. The photographic images chosen for the series were taken in the region of the Andes Mountains in Peru. The choice to co-create with fungi on the image of the mountains was made with the objective of playing with micro and macro scales, to think about the importance of considering the smallest beings and their ability to transform.
