ROMEU SILVEIRA

ROMEU SILVEIRA (born 1988) lives and works in Brazil. His research involves appropriation, collage, photographic series, playing between analog and digital. The accumulation of images and files and also the creation of new narratives are a constant in his production. He participated in group exhibitions in Brazil and abroad such as the intervention at the Printemps Haussmann atrium in Paris, in 2018. In 2019, he was awarded with the Alliance française Contemporary Art Prize, which earned him an artistic residency at the Cité Internationale, where he developed his most recent body of work, the Contretemps series. In 2020, he founded the editorial platform zero-Editions. He is also founder and editor of Under Pressure Magazine.
