Climate change is inherently a discomforting topic. While it may be safe to assume that it is the greatest long-term threat to human civilization, we prefer not to talk about it. We let it float in the background as we go around scrolling on our Instagram feed, setting up meeting reminders, taking long hot showers, ‘hustling’ hard for a great income and unknowingly, an ever greater carbon footprint. Contention is to look at climate change as a cycle that begins from human (capitalist) exploits and ends with subliminal and ununderstood consequences, most primary being a collective deterioration of mental health. The four-part video art series is not a documentary on climate change but a political critique of capitalism.
