The house on 11th street, is an experimental short film using photogrammetry, found rental virtual tours, field recording and glitch to explore the concept of the ideal home. Stemming from the confinement during the pandemic, the increasing gap between what we experience in the places we rent and live against the expectations and ideals of the Ikea home became painfully apparent. The house on 11th street remixes spoken word of a memory of a home that no longer exists, re-told over and over again, with images of rentals found on various websites and the resulting appropriated memories, imagination and ideals clashing with reality.
