Ver descrição

Coitlehua comes from Nahuatl and means forest, and just like this language that has gradually disappeared due to multiple factors, so do our forests. However, the illegal logging in Mexico is not a simple situation, and as the piece addresses it, it is a problem that involves organized crime, which has taken control of the clandestine logging business; the State and its inability to safeguard the natural heritage; and civil society that, incapacitated by a precarious reality, ends up being forced into clandestine logging or with a tragic end if it attempts any kind of opposition. Thus, through the appropriation of sound archive and a sound recording of the felling of a tree, the audio is intervened in TidalCycles, to compose the piece.
