Ver descrição

The Wrong Road Channel is a video that explores the digital materiality that technology proposes to human bodies. We know firsthand that there is a radical difference between image and flesh. However, the machines do not distinguish the flesh from the pixel. The affective and experiential chaos, a product of the precarious democratization of technology, has called into question paradigms that deny such a distinction. Having as its ultimate motive the editing (and transformation) of three videos of street fights recorded on cell phones founded on the web, this "wrong road" aims to narrate the old tale of the new flesh. A previous version of this work has been shown in a video projection organized by Deslave in Bikini Wax (Mx.) in 2018
