There are obvious conjugations, symbiotic benefits and further unexplored links between progressive activists, designers, academics and artists whom strongly believe in the intrinsic value of organization, activism and knowledge production. Older forms of activism need to be more adaptable in order to be more effective, attractive as well as individually and collectively sustainable. There is a need for more profound interdisciplinary knowledge and creativity, and there is a need for digital possibilities and technological realities to be utilized further for activistic purposes.On this note DRIT was created as an horizontal collaborative platform with digital infrastructure. With DRIT the idea is to explore the brewing of a movement which sets to push the boundaries for how knowledge, creativity and communication can affect society and how digital possibilities can assist in this.A database. An interaction platform and a “production line” set the symbiotic basis to design a digital infrastructure for chosen individuals with the spirit of interdisciplinary knowledge and creativity whom strongly believe in the intrinsic value of organization, activism and knowledge production. These individuals, with their respective backgrounds, interests, skills and ideas, are chosen in regards of an curated interdisciplinary and activist constellation. The philosophical basis for the pragmatic consideration of ideas at DRIT is that all known means to maximize the prolonged effect of projects and engagement are considered and new means are further speculated towards. This multidimensional manifestation approach is made more profound by the diverse constellation of the collaborative platform which will include disciplines within art and design usually considered non-utilitarian in terms of activism or knowledge production.
